- Walking & accessibility: The walk from the castle parking/bus area up to Neuschwanstein involves a moderate uphill climb of about 15 minutes with some stairs inside the castle. Alternatively, there are busses that shuttle guests up the hill, as well as Horse Carriage rides offered from local vendors.
- What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate layers (mountain weather changes quickly), and a camera — phones are fine too, but you’ll want the good camera for this one. Don’t forget a few Euro coins for when a pretzel catches your eye!
