Through our Oktoberfest travel package, you’ll spend three days free of frustrations with reserved seating, meals, and beers. We will celebrate at the top tents, day and night! Traditional Bavarian music, carnival rides, delicious food, liters of beer, and lifelong memories are all guaranteed! 

After the excitement of Oktoberfest, we will discover the jewels of Bavaria. Brewery trips, tour of Neuschwanstein Castle and a guided excursion to Salzburg and Berchtesgaden are all on the docket. I promise there is no better way to experience Oktoberfest and Bavaria!

Itinerary:

  • Please Note: 2024 is fully booked; the schedule below is for 2025
  • September 26th, 2025: Arrival and pickup
    • Pickup at the Munich Airport
      • We have 7 person shuttles waiting with reclining seats so you can recoup and relax as you travel the hour and a half journey from the airport to your five star accommodation in Garmisch-Partenkirchen Germany.
    • Rest and orientation
      • 5 Star accommodation in the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen with breakfast, heated outdoor pool, sauna, and spa.
      • Hotel check in and then a leisurely stroll through Garmisch departing at 3:00 p.m. with your guide Jake Doherty, followed by an early dinner at a local Bavarian beer hall.
  • Sept. 27th: Shopping and a Bavarian cooking course
    • Meet in the hotel lobby at 9:00 a.m. for departure to Murnau. There you will have the opportunity to purchase traditional clothing such as Lederhosen and Dirndls for your time at the Oktoberfest. After a morning of shopping and exploring the village where Kandinsky began Expressionism, we make our way to a local Bavarian cooking school where we are treated to a meal and cooking experience. You will learn how to make your own pretzels, Obatzda Beer Cheese, Jägerschnitzel, and more.
  • Sept. 28th: Munich Oktoberfest
    • Using our private chauffeured vehicles we will make our way to Munich for our first day at the Oktoberfest. We arrive early so we can stop by the Augustiner Keller beer garden for a warmup and introduction to “Lagering.” Then to the grounds for an orientation tour and table reservation at Schottenhamel Festzelt—the oldest tent at the festival. While at our table all the food and alcohol is included in your package, so go crazy! Once our table reservation is done we leisurely make our way around the Oktoberfest fairgrounds for further exploration before taking the train back to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and our hotel.
  • Sept. 29th: Free day with choices
    • Spa Day at Kochelsee Therme with admission cost included.
      • Saunas, whirlpools, swim-up bar, Aufguss, and an amazing restaurant. The whole place is designed to recover from a rough night. But warning: It is co-ed nude :).
    • Day tour to the Zugspitze Mountain (tallest in Germany) with afternoon free for shopping and exploring Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
      •  All transportation and cable car ticket included in cost.
    • Netflix and chill in your hotel room while cursing the demons in your head.
  • Sept. 30th: Neuschwanstein Castle
    • The inspiration for Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty castle, Neuschwanstein will delight and intrigue. We meet in the hotel lobby at 8:30 a.m. for departure using our 7 passenger shuttles to the village of Hohenschwangau. From there we will have advanced entry into Neuschwanstein castle with a guided tour from Jake Doherty (the highest ranked tour guide on TripAdvisor for southern Bavaria). 
    • After our castle tour we will make our way to lunch at the Schwangau brewery followed by a brewery tour and tasting. Then off to the village of Oberammergau for shopping and sightseeing before returning to Garmisch. Dinner will be free time for you to choose.
  • Oct. 1st: Munich Oktoberfest 
    • We meet in the lobby of the hotel at 9:30 a.m. Then, using our private chauffeured vehicles we make our way to Munich once again to brave the field(s) of Therese. We will have several tent reservations this day, beginning with the Kaefer Festzelt and ending with a smaller, more intimate tent in the famous Alte’ Wies’n, my favorite area of the Oktoberfest. We then return to Garmisch using the local train with beer in hand. 
    • All food and beverages while in a reserved tent are included in the trip.
  • Oct. 2nd: A sleepy drive to Salzburg
    • We check out of our hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and make our way in our trusty 7 passenger vehicles to the village of Prien. 
      • Weather permitting, we will make our way to Herrenchiemsee Palace on Herreninsel (a lake island) using the ferry. After a guided tour of Ludwig’s other castle and a lunch break we make our way to Salzburg for hotel check-in at our 4 star accommodation located downtown. 
      • That evening we dress up (a bit) for dinner at St. Peter’s Monastery—built in the 800s! There, we will be treated to a Mozart concert and meal. 
        • The concert and dinner is included in the cost of your trip. All you have to pay for is your beverages.
  • Oct. 3rd: The hills are alive with the sound of:
    • Meeting in the lobby of the hotel at 9:00 a.m. we make our way to your choice of:
      • Eagle’s Nest (weather permitting) and schnapps factory tour in the Berchtesgaden region. Tours, ticketing, and transportation included.
    • OR
      • Sound of Music Tour highlighting the locations used in the filming of the movie. Tours, ticketing, and transportation included.
    • Following free time that afternoon we meet in the lobby of the hotel at 5:30 p.m. for a leisurely walk to an Austrian cooking course where we learn how to make our own apple strudel while being treated to a multi-course meal and beer tasting.
  • Oct. 4th: Back to Munich and the Oktoberfest 
    • We meet at 8:30 a.m. in the lobby of the hotel for check out and return to Munich using our vehicles. We drop our luggage off at the hotel in Munich before free time for everyone to either pack or enjoy the city. 
      • That afternoon at 16:00 we meet in the lobby of the hotel for our journey to the Oktoberfest for the closing day of the festival. Enjoy the lively festivities as everyone says goodbye to their favorite party while we enjoy our table reservation with unlimited beer, choice of menu item for dinner, and plenty of schnapps.
  • Oct. 5th: Bye-bye!
    • Hotel checkout is 11:00 a.m. for everyone. One of our guides will be on call if you need information for shuttle etc., but the easiest way to get to the airport is to use the Lufthansa airport shuttle conveniently located a quick 3 minute walk from the hotel.
